With Me At All Times
I started taking photos a little more than a year ago. Since then I have tried to have a camera with me at all times. Sometimes I see nothing and sometimes I slam on the brakes while going 60 to have another look. Here are some images from the last two months that have caught my eye and made me drop what I was doing in order to try to capture the moment.
I don't know what I like in these pictures. In some I like the colors, in others it's the contrast or the objects in them. A very smart person once told me to not try to rationalize why you like something, just listen to your instinct.
A tidal bay in Maine.
This feels like Maine..
On the Oregon Coast, walking back after looking at waves.

I like your pictures, I think trying to carry a camera at all times in an excellent idea also but am trying to gauge the practicality of it for myself. What camera do you carry?
Foster,
Have you picked up this book? I haven't read it, but I know he's doing some cool things with the iPhone which you're obviously a big fan of too.

Damn, the color combination in that leaves/hammock photo is gorgeous.
Greg,
I haven't seen that book but I have heard a lot about it. I guess I will have to pick it up.

You've got a great eye for color and texture. Nice work, as always!
yes, some very good advice from that very smart person. great shots, foster.
You have a great eye! It's always nice and inspiring to see photographs that are taken from the heart. And your photo's are just that, from the heart!
WWFD?
Keep a camera on you at all times!
Thanks for the kind words. I wouldn't do what I do a lot of the time. Haha but thanks skip,

I think I came across your blog at the wrong time! I'm heading "home" to Maine & New Hampshire in a couple weeks for the holidays and your wonderful photos are making me even more homesick than I already was! I love the familiar scenes you're capturing, though. thanks.
Fracaps? Fracaps! I just need to break down and buy some.
"I started taking pictures a year ago..."
That hurts.
Really great photos. Love the gutted deer hanging in the front drive. Figured that was only a southern thing...
